Headquartered at Tulsa International Airport (KTUL), Air EMS coordinates patient care and other services across the United States and internationally.
Air EMS is a licensed provider of domestic and international Air Ambulance for emergent and non-emergent patients, in addition to providing Communication Center, Medical Management and Education/Training services. The Air EMS team includes professionally trained and highly experienced individuals with decades of experience in the air and ground ambulance, medical, communications and training industries. Together, our staff shares a distinct passion and vision for providing patients and customers alike with the most professional level of medical care and service available.

STAFF
PRESIDENT / PROGRAM DIRECTOR - Angela Hall
Angela Hall serves as President / Program Director for Air EMS. Angela has accumulated twenty years of experience in the air ambulance industry and is responsible for the oversight, implementation and management of medical operations and business development. Her diverse background includes both government service as a member of the U.S. Navy (Honorable Discharge, Hospital Corpsman) and subsequent roles with various leading air medical organizations in the United States. Angela is a Site Surveyor for the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS) and is a Certified Medical Transport Executive.
MEDICAL DIRECTOR - Dr. Charles Farmer
As Medical Director, Dr. Farmer is responsible for directing and evaluating the quality of medical care provided by Air EMS and its personnel. Dr. Farmer is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and has completed the Air Medical Physician Association (AMPA) Medical Director Core Curriculum course.
Dr. Farmer has practiced Emergency Medicine at Ascension St. John, a large tertiary care medical center in Tulsa, Oklahoma for over 45 years. He was the Medical Director of the Department for 35 years. He also has vast experience in management of the ground ambulance service (EMSA) for the cities of Tulsa and Oklahoma City where he had leadership rolls for 32 years. Dr. Farmer has served as Medical Director for air ambulance services, including Air EMS, since 1983.
Dr. Farmer previously served as a USN Flight Surgeon.
MEDICAL DIRECTOR - Dr. David Marks
As Medical Director, Dr. Marks is responsible for directing and evaluating the quality of medical care provided by Air EMS and its personnel. Dr. Marks is Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Sleep Medicine and Hospice/Palliative Care. Dr. Marks has also completed the Air Medical Physician Association (AMPA) Medical Director Core Curriculum.
David is a Dallas native who, while attending undergraduate studies, became a paramedic and begain his career in health care and EMS. Upon graduation with a BA degree in 1993, David attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio (UTHSCSA) where he graduated in the top 5% of his class and became a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. He remained at UTHSCSA and completed his internal medicine residency and subsequent pulmonary/critical care medicine fellowship. While in postgraduate training, David excelled in many extracurricular activities to include becoming a PADI master scuba diver and obtaining his FAA commercial pilot’s license. In 1997, David started his private practice career in North Central San Antonio called the Pulmonary & Sleep Institute where he remains a busy outpatient provider for pulmonary and sleep related disorders.
David served in the Texas Air National Guard as a flight surgeon achieving the rank of Lt. Colonel and currently serves as a medical officer on a federal disaster medical assistance team under the National Disaster Medical System. In additional to his government and public service, David remains active in clinical research and is principal investigator of several phase III clinical trials.
DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL SERVICES - Brian Howell

Brian Howell is the Director of Clinical Services (DOCS). In this role, he serves as a clinical care supervisor and works closely with the Medical Director, Program Director, clinical staff, members of management, and outside organizations to ensure the successful day-to-day clinical operations and safe air transportation of patients.

BASE LEAD - Eileen Blackstone
With Ms. Blackstone’s experience of more than 25 years in the Air Medical Transport industry, she has held many roles including Flight Paramedic, Base Leadership/Direction, Clinical Educator and Regional Outreach Coordinator. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University in Corporate Finance and a master’s degree in business administration. She holds current FP-C, CCEMT-P, PNCCT and a graduate of the Medical Transport Leadership Institute (MTLI). She holds several instructor credentials including AHA, NAEMT and Neonatal Resuscitation Program. She is a coordinator/instructor for the City of Mesa (Arizona) Paramedic Program.
Eileen is married to her husband, Mark, who is a retired engineer/fire fighter. They have two children, Mark Jr who is an officer in the US Army and Michael who is finishing his master’s degree in criminology at NAU and a US Marine.
COMMUNICATIONS SUPERVISOR - Christi Brewer
Christi Brewer is the Communication Supervisor and is responsible for oversight and the management of the day-to-day activities of the Communication Center by monitoring, assisting, and directing the intake, processing, and delivery of transport requests for Air EMS and its contracted clients.
Christi has over 30 years of dispatch experience with the last 7 in a leadership role and is a Certified Flight Coordinator.
