Air Ambulance Transportation

Air EMS™ provides comprehensive air ambulance transportation services for domestic and international flights to/from locations across the United States and worldwide for both emergent and non-emergent patients. Air ambulance transport with Air EMS provides the patient with a private aircraft staffed with an in-flight medical team of professionals dedicated to providing the highest levels of patient care.

KEY SERVICE FEATURES:

Comprehensive “Bed-to-Bed” Service

Air EMS provides care and coordination for our patients from their location to destination, virtually anywhere in the world, including comprehensive supervision of patient, ground transportation and transfers, private air ambulance aircraft transportation and related patient logistics and needs for care and support.

FAA-Certified, Medically-Equipped Aircraft

Air EMS maintains partnership with leading industry-accredited Part 135 air carriers to provide a diverse range of mission-specific aircraft, from turboprop to long-range international jet aircraft.

All aircraft are pressurized and configured in a manner that allows continuous access for patient care.

Family members may accompany the patient at no additional charge as space allows.

Highly Trained Medical Team

The medical team is responsible for providing high-quality patient care under varied conditions in collaboration with their partner(s) and other healthcare professionals.

The standard flight team consists of one Critical Care Flight Nurse, one Flight Paramedic and pilot(s).  This team can be augmented based on the needs of the patient to include specialty medical staff and equipment.

The minimum qualifications include:

• Minimum of 4 years’ critical care experience (pre-hire)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Trauma – Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) audit, TNCC/TNATC or equivalent

Additional training is provided in advanced ventilator support, EKG interpretation, infection control, and flight physiology.
